About Tetanus

Tetanus begins about 7 days after a wound permits the germs to get into tissues. The first signs are a sense of drawing pain in wound with a twitching of muscles nearby. There is also fever, headache and chills. In later stages there is stiffness of muscles of the jaw and neck, serious spasms and convulsions and if a child is not hospitalized immediately it will prove fatal for her.

The only way to prevent from tetanus is to treat any cut or wound immediately . If wound is contaminated or deep or caused by any rusty or dirty article then you should see that your child should take an anti tetanus injection immediately.
